This course is designed for staff working with infants and children within their role such as nurses, doctors, medical staff and senior child care workers.

Aim:

To understand the importance of early recognition of the seriously ill child or infant.

Outcome:

By the end of the session you will be able to:

-Assess the critically ill child or infant by using the ABCDE Approach.

-To rapidly identify potential respiratory, circulatory and neurological failure.

-To understand the importance of prioritising and assessing the effectiveness of initial management given.
